Cullen's Corn Bread Cake

1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn meal
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tbs melted shortening
1/2 cup milk
1 egg

Sift dry ingredients in bowl. Spread shortening in pie pan. Pour excess shortening into milk.
Add egg to milk, mix. Add dry ingredients to milk. Beat lightly pour into pan and bake 
@ 400F for 20-30 mins.
