After several drinks Kathryn went to the bathroom and come
out crying.

Robert said, “Maybe you should.”
“The doctor told her she will heal faster with out the
pills. You’re suppose to
bath in salt water to help you heal, we could go to the yacht
and you could swim
in the Gulf of Mexico.” Ken said.

Swollen and tired she arrived home took a shower and with

tomorrow.”
A week later
Morales said, “Roberto and I will be passing through this
afternoon and want to
bring some diner and see you.”
“Ken and Richard are coming for dinner.”
Morales laughed and said, “I will bring dinner from Rios,
you need some Tex
Mex food. You sound so much better.”
“That sounds great, see you later.”
That evening with lots of laughter and toasts the five of
them was spread
around the dining table, piled high with food.
Ken laughed and said, “This cabrito is just what I need, I
was out with Lynn

and I called Jan and

Richard laughed and said, “You’re in construction why

They chatted as he escorted her back to the table.
Morales laughed and said, “You going to Africa with us? You
have been
cooped up a long time.”

in the scorching African sun they walk over and board for a
short flight away.
The choppers blow the thatch huts of the village as they land
in a clearing and
there were two more fighter choppers four trucks and two
tanks being covered
with dust from the swirling blades. Morales went over and
talked to a tall one
eyed black man. He made a signal and while the choppers
stirred up the dust the
trucks and tanks left in a cloud of dust. The two fighter
choppers left guarding
the trucks and tanks. They walked over covered in dust and
boarded the choppers
and she glanced down at the thick bush as the guys put in
there ear phones and
they caught up with the other choppers. She looked ahead at a
deserted mud
ruined village as the other choppers landed and dropped off
the soldiers and they
secured the landing site as the choppers got back in the air.
Surrounded by thick
bush they landed in the secured area and got out and she
noticed a bunch of soldiers
gather by an abandoned wall. The African sun scorched there
faces as they
walked over by another short abandoned wall and it was
between them and the
soldiers, they were flanked by there solders on each side.’
Chief Paul laughed and said, “Morales, how much for your
white slave
woman, not so much she is too old to be a virgin.”
Morales laughed and said, “She is not for sale, she keeps

Chief Paul laughed and said, “Where is the merchandise?”
The choppers hovered as the trucks rumbled into the clearing

shooting and
were heading toward the merchandise. Morales’s soldiers
started firing at the
truck as the helicopter raced toward the rebel trucks.
Legget laughed and said, “See that one-eyed soldier
Kathryn, if I get wounded,

Kathryn said, “That’s comforting, if they get through all
the others, and there
is the six of us left then I guess you will use the guns to
make sure we don’t get
captured alive.”
Everyone laughed as the tank took out the sniper and the
choppers took out
the other attackers and there trucks. Everyone stood up.
Morales said, “I thought you secured the area, Chief
Paul?”
Chief Paul laughed and said, “We did there is a lot of
different rebel groups
moving through the area. It was a small infraction, Morales
that one we missed,
anybody hurt? What about the white slave?”
Morales laughed and said, “We’re all right, she looks a
little dirty..”
Chief Paul laughed and said, “While they transfer the
merchandise I will take
her to the river and clean her.”
In the sweltering sun Morales, Roberto and Kathryn walked out
to the middle
to meet Chief Paul. With a bucket of water and a rag in hand
a sweaty soldier
with a big smile on his face approach as they shook hands and
they introduced

merchandise was transferred
and a man walked out with a little table and he put the cloth
on it and
pours out something. Roberto looked at it puts the cloth in
his shirt and walked
over to Morales and speaks into his phone as the choppers
covers them with dust.
They said goodbye and walked over and boarded the chopper as
the soldiers,
tanks and choppers guarded them. They left and went back to
village and she
waved to the gang of kids as the dust covered them Morales
wiped his brow as he
introduced her to the chief and handed him a brief case. They
then walked
through the dust and got in their choppers and she was amazed
at how thick the
bush was they flew back to the 47.
Mean while
Pierre said, “Shane that was the worst gunfight we had been
in a while.”
Shane said, “We got the terrorist, he is handcuffed and 22
of his men are dead
and 5 of our soldiers are dead.”
Josh said, “Man, that was rough they put up a fight. That
grenade was so close
my ears still ring.”

Maret said, “There were so many bullets flying around me, I
can’t believe I
wasn’t hit. I told our soldiers to kill their wounded,
it’s no use them suffering.”
Pierre said, “Bring in the choppers and let’s get him
back to the 47 and get
him sedated.”
At the 47
Maret said, “He’s sedated and not going any where.
Let’s go to the falls and have
a drink and lunch. I can’t remember when I killed so many
people.”
Pierre laughed and said, “That sounds great, let’s clean
up and go. I want to
wash this death off my body.”
Mean while
Morales laughed and said, “Let’s clean up and take the
white slave to eat at the
restaurant by the falls.”
Roberto said, “You will love it honey it’s a beautiful
place, I’ll hold the choppers.”
The wet dust puddle as mud at the bottom of the shower, she

fresh slacks and they boarded the choppers. She was stunned
by the massive

richness of the restaurant
in the bush a sign said, “Check guns at desk.” She
glanced over and it was
like a coat check with guns instead of coats. They followed
the man to a table and
sat down and ordered drinks.
Morales said, “How do you like the appetizers, the meat
strips are giraffe.”
“It’s incredible I love it.”
Roberto laughed and said, “Wait to you eat the gazelle it

in the world.”
Kathryn said, “I have to go to the bathroom am I safe to
go.”
Morales laughed and said, “Sure it’s safe, and Legget
will wait outside the door
if it was dangerous he would have to stand outside the
stall.”
She shook her head and cut her eyes at Morales
Four men walk in and approach Morales’s table, Roberto
senses something
and every one gets up.

Kathryn and Legget walked up and saw every one standing and
not knowing

Pierre smiled and said, “Shane, thank you I am glad you

Everyone was introduced and they all walked over to their
table and pushed
another table together ordered drinks. Kathryn had been
introduced to Pierre’s
other guards Maret and Josh.
Josh said, “I have seen you picture your under
investigation in the states, they
didn’t take your pass port?”
Kathryn laughed and said, “It has been three years and they
knocked it down
to price fixing, they now know I am not a big time gangster
they thought I was.”
Maret smiled and said, “Investigations are rough, you
always wonder if today
will be the day. You keep pretty rough company with this
bunch.”
Kathryn laughed and said, “I know, when I was on the ground
and bullets flying
ever where I thought about it and these guys joking about
Legget taking off
his shoes ready to take my virginity in case I got

Shane looked at her and said, “I haven’t thought about

Nator pulled out his little pocket computer laughed and said,
“I can give them
to you now, here, transferred to European numbers, shoe size
everything.”
Josh pulled out his computer and said, “Just e-mail to this
address and we will
store them in our computer and they can be waiting when we
get home.”
Kathryn said, “I can’t believe you have my measurements
on your computer.”
“Remember when I met you at Rios and took your

Kathryn smiled and said, “Now I have all these dangerous
people with my
measurements, how will I get home? Where will I stay?”
“We have a 47 to send you home in.” Shane said.
Morales said, “It’s possible I will be back in Africa
Thursday, if so I will pick
you up. You have been in the house to long and have gone
through to much
pain, go to Paris and enjoy being a woman enjoy what you have

Pierre said, “I have to stop in Madrid on business tonight
and I have a spare
penthouse across the hall from me. I keep it for my business

Legget laughed and said, “Should I go with her in case she

Everyone laughed

watch the birds rise as they left the lake and all landed at

and in the distant saw a 47. Shane carried her luggage as
they boarded the 47 and
she noticed they all seemed alike just decorated to fit there
independent style’s.
Shane gave her suitcase to an attendant and he showed her to
her suite and she
noticed three more guards inside and she joined the guys in
the bar for the take
off. They talked and drink for about 45 mins when the seat
belt light came on. In
the hot sun they landed at a deserted airport and taxied up
to a deserted hanger.
Kathryn noticed the guys were putting in there ear phones and
packing machine
guns. They lowered the stairs and they all walked down to the
ground and in the
hanger was a small jet.
Pierre said, “General, how was your trip, this is my friend
Kathryn.”

The General laughed and said, “I saw her walking down the
stairs and I
thought I was having an illusion in this sweltering heat,
glad to meet. Do you
have the merchandise?”
Pierre said, “Yes, we’re like sitting ducks out here.”
The General laughed tilted his head and said, “I got you
covered.”
With sweat on their faces they looked up into the bright sun
and saw four
fighter jets overhead as four people brought a stretcher down
the stairs. She
noticed a man in leg shackles and hand shackles, lie on the
stretcher and his head
was covered with a hood. The four men stopped in front of the
general and he
took off the hood and looked at him and his ears were
plugged. Four of the generals
men took the stretcher an aid handed Shane two briefcases.
The General said, “Good work Pierre another terrorist off
the street.”
“He’s a dangerous one and was hard to get we left twenty
two of his buddies
dead.” Pierre said.
The General said, “That’s why we pay you the big bucks,
take care.”
They shook hand and as they walked up the stairway and went
in to the 47

47 took off as the lifted off and leveled off a fighter jet
appeared off each wing.
Kathryn laughed and said, “Friends or foes?”
Pierre laughed and said, “Josh has his clothes on, there
friends they will just
escort us out of there air space. I am intrigued about you

a subject that’s not discussed much.”

funny, but I am really afraid, that I will be hurt.”
Shane laughed and said, “I am sure it’s a frightening
thing, I cannot visualize
or imagine what will happen.”

Shane laughed and said, “We were young and dangerous and

was a little slow so we decided t
