French Toast

 

Kat's Cream Peach Toast

3 large eggs
4 tablespoons peach preserves
3/4 cups half & half
1/4 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
6 slices French bread 1/2 inch thick

1/3 cup peach preserves
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 fresh peaches peeled & sliced (or can use frozen)
confectioner's sugar
Toasted almonds

In bowl mix the eggs, 3 tablespoons of peach preserves, blend with fork or wire whisk. Beat in half and half, vanilla and salt, add to egg mixture. Dip bread in liquid mixture and place in baking dish. Pour any left over liquid over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight.

In blender combine 1/3 cup peach preserves and softened butter - beat until light and Fluffy. Set aside.

In large skillet melt 4 tablespoons butter and add bread slices. Cook over medium high heat until golden brown turning once. Remove from skillet and keep warm. Serve with peach butter and peach slices. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and almonds. Serves 4 to 6.

Things don't go wrong and break your heart so you can become bitter and give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be.
