Ground Beef Casseroles
James's Ground Beef Bean Cheddar Biscuit Casserole
1 pound lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 can (16 ounces) pork and beans
2/3 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 can refrigerator biscuits
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
PREPARATION:
Brown ground beef in skillet; pour off excess fat. Add salt, pork and beans,
barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and onion; heat until hot and bubbling. Pour beef
and bean mixture into a 2-quart baking dish. Separate biscuits; cut in half.
Place biscuits, cut side down, around edge of casserole. Sprinkle with the
shredded cheese. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serves 4.
