Lynn's Ground Beef Peppers Onions Tomato Corn Casserole

1/2 cup chopped onion
2 green bell peppers, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
1 pound ground beef, lean
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups fresh cut corn or frozen, thawed
4 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
PREPARATION:

Brown onions and peppers in skillet in butter; add ground beef, breaking up with a fork. Cook beef until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. In a greased 2-quart casserole, layer half of the corn, half of the meat, and half of the sliced tomatoes.
Repeat layers then top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Serves 4
